*11/12 Oct 14: Over 20 cadets took part in this years main fundraiser - a 24 hour bike ride at Kenley Airfield, raising funds for 'Help For Heroes' and for ourselves. Cadets collectively cycles 960 miles - the distance from Lands End to John O'Groats. Well done to them all.
*28 Sep 14: 23 Cadets and 3 staff took part in the Surrey Wing Parade at Brooklands.

*27 August - Regional Commandant Group Captain Hakin attended 450 Squadron for an informal visit. He addressed the Cadets and was very pleased with the turnout and atmosphere at the Squadron.
*14 August - 32 Cadets from 450 Squadron joined a workforce of more than 50 Cadets from Surrey Wing to help at the 'RAF Kenley Airday' - which was a very wet airshow indeed!
*31 July - 7 Aug: 13 Cadets and 4 Staff spent a week on Squadron Camp in the Isle of Wight, taking in a range of activities whilst walking the coastal route of the island
*21-28 July - 3 Cadets and the CO from 450 attended the Summer Overseas Camp to JHQ, Rheindahlen, Germany, former HQ RAF Germany.
*19 July - This website was announced to the Squadron and 'goes live'.
*11 July - 7 Cadets helped out at the 'Kenley Funday', a community event at Kenley Common. They ended the day helping to produce charcoal!

*4 July - The 450 Sqn drill team came 9th in the Surrey Wing Drill Competition
*2 July - 8 Cadets went Air Experience Flying at RAF Boscombe Down
* 26/27 June - 450 Sqn cadets worked a combined total of 180 hours at the Biggin Hill Airshow

Welcome to the website of 450 Squadron, a thriving, energetic and successful Air Cadet Squadron on the former Battle of Britain fighter station at RAF Kenley, Surrey. 450 Squadron is well respected in the community and has served local young people since 1941.
The Air Cadets is a national voluntary youth organisation aimed at air minded boys and girls between 12 and 20 years of age. We offer opportunites such as flying, gliding and camps. Most activities are free - please look around the site to learn more about us.
If you are between 12 (in Yr 8) - 17 years old, you can join the ATC. You only need to be up for a challenge!
Our parade nights are every Monday and Friday evening, between 1900 - 2130 hrs. If interested please send us a message to arrange when you can start.
Q - How much does it cost?
A - To participate fully costs £10 per calendar month - that includes all parade nights & Sqn activities as well as flying, gliding, shooting etc.
Q - What will I do if I join?

Q - What are the best things cadets do?
A - As well as the flying and gliding, cadets make new friends and share a great team spirit.
Q - How often do you meet?
A - We meet on Monday and Friday evenings.
Q - When do I get my uniform?
A - Normally within 4 - 6 months.
Q - Who runs an ATC Squadron?
A - The ATC is staffed by reserve RAF Officers and other ATC and civilian volunteers.
Q - Will I have to do things I don't want to?
A - No!
Q - Do I have to join the Royal Air Force in later life?
A - No.
